CONDENSING TANKLESS WATER HEATER
Enjoy Hot Water Tonight!
A Brief History of Navien Tankless Water Heaters
Navien was founded in 1978 in Seoul, South Korea, and was known as KyungDong Navien, or KD Navien. In 1988, KD Navien became the first company in Asia to develop and produce a highly efficient, environmentally friendly condensing boiler.
The company quickly expanded overseas—Navien exports HVAC products to more than 35 countries worldwide.
2006, the company expanded to North America, becoming the largest condensing gas water heaters manufacturer.
The company’s North American Branch is headquartered in Irvine, California. Until recently, Navien products were only made in South Korea. The company has expanded to the East Coast of the United States.
Navien also takes great pride in ensuring qualified professionals install and maintain their water heaters. To that end, Navien offers hands-on training at three state-of-the-art training centers in Irvine, California; Morristown, New Jersey; and Woodbridge, Ontario.
How Reliable Are Navien Tankless Water Heaters?
Navien water heaters have the highest warranty (15 years on the heat exchanger), the highest efficiency rating (up to 0.97EF), and both LEED and Energy Star® certifications, making them among the greenest on the market.
These certifications confirm that Navien water heaters have longer lifespans, use less energy, and leave a smaller carbon footprint than other water heater manufacturers.
Navien produces two main lines of tankless water heaters: condensing and non-condensing series.
One of the benefits of a tankless water heater is its ability to quickly heat water upon demand since it does not heat a tank of stored water. This intense heat creates steam very quickly. Once the steam cools, it condenses back into water.
Multi-line control with built-in intuitive software

How Long Does a Navien Last?
25+ years with proper maintenance
A Navien tankless water heater is about twice as expensive as a tank-type water heater; however, it lasts almost 3-times as long (Data obtained by the accelerated aging process). If you install a new gas Navien tankless water heater today, you can enjoy reliable hot water for an average of 25+ years, and if you choose the optional scale inhibitor and have it installed on your new unit, then you can expect an increased life-span of 25 to 30 years according to the experts. Note: Ask us about ScaleRx limescale inhibitor.

7 Reasons Arizonians Choose Navien Over Other Brands
1) Longest-lasting components
Navien tankless water heaters feature a stainless steel heat exchanger, which lasts much longer than a copper heat exchanger in other tankless water heaters. Dual stainless steel heat exchangers extend the unit's life by resisting corrosion and limescale buildup.
2) Best Warranty
Navien offers 15 years on the heat exchanger in residential installations, five years for parts, and three years for workmanship.
3) Lower Installation Cost
Because a Navien gas tankless uses ½” gas pipe and 2” PVC venting, you’ll save on installation costs – it can be installed in about half the time as competitors’ tankless brands.
4) Unlimited Hot Water
You’ll get endless streams of hot water whenever you want since there’s no capacity tank! You'll never run out again.
5) Longest Lasting Gas Tankless
The average competitor gas tankless water heater lasts about 15 years, and the Navien tankless lasts an average of 25+ years with a scale inhibitor installed and with proper maintenance.
6) Energy Star
The NPE model was the first gas water heater to be "Energy Star Certified" and is the most energy-efficient tankless water heater in the industry average.
7) More Options Than Other Brands
Navien gas tankless water heaters offer the most options for your tankless water heater needs.
Navien NPE-A2 "Comfort-Flow" System
Navien tankless water heaters are the first and only systems that utilize a built-in insulated buffer tank and recirculation pump. The buffer tank eliminates the bursts of cool water you get with other systems (cold water sandwich) and eliminates the minimum flow rates in other tankless water heaters.
Built-in recirculation system
Navien’s patented ComfortFlow® system is the first to include a buffer tank, recirculation pump and fine-tuned controls into a tankless water heater, resolving the cold-water sandwich effect* and issues of minimal flow rates commonly found in other tankless water heaters.
* The “cold-water sandwich effect” is the undesired introduction of cold water into the hot water supply line on occasions of frequent on/off operations. (Measure Guideline: Transitioning to a Tankless Water heater, DOE, Sept.2012).
The built-in recirculation pump allows the NPE-A2 to recirculate water through an external recirc line or existing supply lines while using NaviCirc® without needing external pumps or controls.
Optional NPE-A2 recirculation valve
Designed for recirculation of domestic hot water in home applications where a dedicated (extra hot water) return line is not available.
Part No. PFFW-001, NaviCirc Kit: 30022965A. External recirc pump and check valves not included.
Optional Wi-Fi remote control system
NaviLink makes communicating with your Navien systems easily anywhere internet service is accessible. The NaviLink module attaches quickly to any new or existing* Navien tankless water heater, combi‐boiler, and boiler.
* Existing installations may require the purchase of a new main PCB and front control panel.

For Larger Applications, Cascading up to 32 units and common vent up to 12 units
Cascade up to 32 units with Navien Ready-Link® technology.
With Navien's Ready-Link® cascading technology, when a unit gets up to 80% capacity the next unit will turn on to help meet requirements. The flow-on-demand ratio will continue until all 32 units are generating hot water as needed. The Navien cascading system also balances out the workload of each unit for longer life.
